Stay Safe and Hydrated at BTS World Tour “Arirang” in El Paso

As excitement builds for the BTS World Tour “Arirang” coming to the UTEP Sun Bowl Stadium on May 2 and 3, thousands of fans are preparing for an unforgettable experience. At ProAction Emergency Services Institute, we’re just as ready—working behind the scenes to help ensure the event is not only memorable, but safe for everyone attending.

Safety Starts with Hydration

Large outdoor events in El Paso often come with warm evening temperatures, and one of the most common medical concerns we see is dehydration. It’s easy to get caught up in the energy of the concert, but staying hydrated is one of the simplest and most effective ways to protect your health.

Attendees are strongly encouraged to bring a plastic water bottle into the venue (permitted by event guidelines) and drink water regularly throughout the event. Taking small steps like this can make a big difference in preventing heat-related illnesses.

On-Site Medical Support You Can Count On

ProAction will be providing comprehensive on-site medical coverage throughout the stadium. Our trained medics will be stationed at designated medical tents, with additional roaming teams ready to respond quickly to any situation.

Before the concert begins, we recommend reviewing the event map to locate the nearest medic stations. If you or someone around you needs assistance, look for staff wearing blue polos marked “MEDIC” on the back—they’re there to help.

Be Aware of Event Guidelines

For safety reasons, access to the mountain surrounding the stadium will not be permitted this year. Law enforcement will be actively monitoring the area to ensure compliance and keep attendees safe. You can find a complete list of prohibited and allowed items here. UTEP will also strictly enforce its clear bag policy – click here for details.

A Shared Responsibility for Safety

“We want everyone to have a safe and enjoyable experience,” said Paloma Leyva, Director of EMS. “Simple steps like staying hydrated and knowing where to find medical support can make a significant difference.”
