Thank you for your interest in the ProAction Emergency Services Institute – Emergency Medical Technician certificate program. Please review the information below to ensure you are well-prepared for your new adventure.
What to bring with you when you register:

You can pay in full or set up easy monthly payments. To set up a payment schedule, please complete the application at https://app.flexxbuy.com/proaction-emergency-services-institute/apply. Once the application is complete, please check your email to finalize and electronically sign the contract.
REQUIRED PRE-COURSE PREP WORK (FREE)
- These courses are required to complete clinical rotations at area hospitals and ambulance services. Please do so as soon as possible. They are free for you and essential to understanding incident management, HIPAA, and other important lessons.

CLINICAL EXTERNSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Immunizations: A complete immunization history is required to provide patient care in hospital and ambulance settings. It is important that you secure the required proof of immunity as soon as possible to avoid delays in clinical rotations. You can obtain your immunization through your physician or healthcare provider using your healthcare insurance or via private pay methods. We also work with Immunize El Paso to provide discounted immunizations to ProAction EMS students. IZEP works with many insurance plans. You can learn more by visiting www.immunizeelpaso.org. For specific information, please speak with a ProAction admissions counselor before seeking services.
You will need at least the first dose of each immunization series of the following immunizations:
- Tuberculosis Skin Test
- Tetanus/Diphtheria
- Varicella
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)
- Hepatitis B
- Influenza – (required during flu season)
- COVID-19 Vaccine (highly recommended)
- Results for Antibody Response Titers for Hepatitis B, M.M.R (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella
TO COMPLETE THE PROGRAM AND RECEIVE YOUR COURSE COMPLETION CERTIFICATE:
- Complete all the above by specified dates
- Tuition needs to be fully financed or paid in full
- Pass all National Registry and program skills (testing done in class)
- Clinical rotations must be completed to sit for the final exam.
- Pass the course with an overall average 75% or higher
- Complete the final exam with a 75% or higher
