ProAction Emergency Services Institute is a licensed provider of the national STOP THE BLEED® program, committed to equipping our community with life-saving skills. In light of recent tragedies and the increasing need for emergency preparedness, we are taking action to ensure more individuals are trained to respond in critical moments.

Emergencies can happen anywhere, including places where people should feel safe such as schools, places of worship, and community spaces. By bringing STOP THE BLEED training to high school students and the broader community, we are working to empower individuals to act quickly and confidently when it matters most.

We proudly offer free bleeding control training to nonprofit organizations and educational institutions in the El Paso and Las Cruces region. These trainings are available for employees, faculty, staff, students, and volunteers. Private organizations may also request training for a nominal fee.

The Texas Education Code (TEC), §38.030, as added by House Bill (HB) 496, 86th Texas Legislature, requires training for the use of a bleeding control station in the event of an injury to another person. Stop the Bleed is an approved training program that provides hands-on skills, including how to apply direct pressure, pack a wound, and use a tourniquet properly.

As part of a national initiative led by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Stop the Bleed is a call to action to prepare everyday individuals to respond during a bleeding emergency. With the right training, anyone can help save a life.
